A user can't save files on a server volume

An error message stating that the disk is full may appear if the client computer is using System 7.1 or earlier, which doesn't recognize a volume greater than 2 gigabytes (GB) in size. |

If possible, update the client computers with the latest version of the Mac OS or with AppleShare Client software version 3.8.4 and Mac OS 8.1 or later. If this isn't possible, reduce the size of the server volume to slightly less than 2 GB. |

Some older applications will not recognize a hard disk with more than 2 GB of space. (Contact the software vendor of the application for more information.) |
